February Self Love and Self Care Challenge

Hi angels!

Whew, February at last! I know this is not a popular opinion, but personally February is one of my favorite months, if not my favorite. It is my birth month, a weird little month with only 28 *sometimes 29 days*, the shortest month, Aquarius and Pisces season, hearts, pink, chocolate, love. If you let it, February can actually be an extremely cute month, and after a very long, often arduous feeling January I am really leaning into that.

So, my little sweeties. I have a few cute things I am inviting you each to join in on. Starting today, February 3rd I am beginning my self love, self care challenge. What this “challenge” entails is just a few lovely things aimed to make us feel more cared for, appreciated, and hopefully loved. This is a challenge dedicated to just you, giving yourself a little extra time and pampering to boost you up. Below are the loose guidelines.

Self Love, Self Care Challenge <3

  • Dedicate 20 extra minutes daily to your skincare routine, such as

    • Red Light Therapy, Facial Massage, Gua Sha, Face Masks, Microcurrent, Expanding your product routine, Luxurious facial cleansing, Double Cleansing, whatever your heart desires. Just looking to give yourself an extra 20 minutes daily to really luxuriate in your skin and your face.

      • Noticing yourself, everything that makes your uniquely you and appreciating it.

  • Gentle Movement, such as

    • Stretching, Pilates, Yoga, Sun Salutations, Somatics, Breath work, Meditation, Walking Barefoot in the Grass, Walking, Running.

      • A few minutes daily to ground and be in your body.

  • A Daily Practice of Slowing Down, and Checking in with Self.

    • Asking yourself how your energy is daily, checking in with your mind and heart, writing down love notes to self, positive affirmations, daily gratitude practice, anything special that makes you feel a little bit more seen by yourself daily.

  • More Nourishment. Less of the rest. Options include.

    • Drinking more water, more tea, infusions, broths. Adding tinctures and minerals to your daily drinking practice. Minimal or less alcohol, more water while drinking. Social drinking, not drinking at home. More nourishment in our eating and cooking, add in Ghee, fermented foods, more veggies, eating seasonal when available. Warm foods, fatty foods, nutrient dense foods.

This is a very loose guideline, but with some obvious intentions behind it. For myself I am looking to spend this short, *cute* month dedicating a Daily Practice to myself. I need it. Often life gets big, vast and overwhelming and I am looking to use this Challenge to ground myself, comfortably, happily in me and I invite each of you, in whatever capacity feels useful to you, to join me.
